Hook Shot

One of the favourite shots of mine,that is the hook shot. Hook shot as you all know is a dangerous shot and at the same time, a run getting shot. You play a hook shot only to a bouncer. When the ball is pitched too short or when the ball is pitched waist high,that is when you go for the hook. Its a 50-50 shot.What I mean by a 50-50 shot is that that there is every chance you might get out if you don't play it properly. How do you get out without playing properly. You might get out caught at fine leg,if it hits in the middle you might get out caught at fine leg. If you don't hit properly it might go right up and be out just going up. Its a very good shot. Some of the greatest players of this shot have been like Viv Richards,Kapil Dev, and so on. I will just show you how to play a hook shot. When the ball is pitched short or a bouncer,you see the bouncer, you see the ball early, you move across, come into the line and hook it like that. You have to come into the line of the ball when you play a hook shot and if you miss the ball, it might as well go and hit your face. You see the ball short,you move your backfoot across, come into the line,see the ball and you hook it like that. I will show you how to play regularly.You see a short ball,thats it. You saw that.
